Ultimate in glass performance

LoE 366 Glass delivers the ideal balance of solar control and high visibility and the highest levels of year-round comfort and energy savings, making it the perfect glass no matter where you live. Windows can contribute up to 25% of the annual heating cost of a home so it is important to use only the best.

Lormac Cardinal Glass Energy Efficient Windows

LoE 366 Glass adds a third layer of silver, creating a clear coating that blocks even more solar gain while reflecting heat. This special coating lets in more desirable visible light from unwelcome UV and near infrared rays (NIR). The result is the ultimate in solar heat control, fading protection and visibility.

Glass so smart, it can control your comfort

temperature savnigs
This table compares the room side center temperatures of four different glass types against different conditions.

When the temperature soars, ordinary window glass just can't handle the heat. LoE 366 Glass, however, has been specially formulated to reject the sun's heat without affecting the view. It lets more light in and keeps more heat out so your home stays cool and comfortable. Coating technology provides the ultimate in performance and clarity of all our LoE 366 products.

Energy Efficient Windows Provide Solar Control for All seasons

During cold weather, the insulating effect of your windows has a direct impact on how your rooms feel. Typically, 75% of the exposed surface of a window is glass, and the temperature of the room side of the glass directly affects the air temperature in the room. The better insulated the window glass, the warmer the room will be. To maintain the best comfort during winter, select a glass product that produces surface temperatures that will stay warm during the coldest outdoor conditions. The superior insulating capability of the LoE 366 Glass is a key factor in achieving a comfortable winter temperature. The dramatic comfort improvement windows with warm glass surfaces also means the humidity of the indoor air can be controlled and monitored properly.

certifications of LoE366

Energy Star Zone - The area within North America that a window has been rated for testing.

Solar Heat Gain Co-efficient - (SHGC) measures how well a product blocks heat caused by sunlight. The SHGC is the fraction of incident solar radiation admitted through a window, both directly transmitted and absorbed and subsequently released inward. SHGC is expressed as a number between 0 and 1. The lower a window's SHGC, the less solar heat is transmitted.

U-Factor - Measures how well a product prevents heat from escaping. The rate of heat loss is indicated in terms of the U-Factor (U-Value) of a window assembly. U-Factor ratings generally fall between 0.20 and 1.20. The insulating value is indicated by The R-Value, which is the inverse of the U-Value.

Energy Rating - (ER) an overall measure of the window's energy performance; the higher the number the better the performance.
