similar to a casement window style but opens up from the bottom instead
of swinging left to right as in the casement operation. These top-hinged awning
windows are engineering to provide maximum window ventilation and come complete
with a full size window screen, while also keeping the rain out providing
better all weather window operation and window ventilation.
The awning style window can work to allow more window glass area and light in
a smaller sized window such as in a basement window or bathroom window,
and can also work well in a combination window configuration as the venting
or opening window area below a fixed picture window.
The awning window cranking and hardware mechanism is Truth Maxim Hardware
which is also used in our casement windows. This best quality Truth Maxim hardware
will prove to provide many years of trouble free window operation above
and beyond what can be expected with other lesser quality window hardware systems
